Promoting — Is it worth it?

I survived. Barely.

The second month, maybe even the most important, is over, and it was as tough as I thought, and some.

I kept to my plan by promoting progressively throughout each week until I ended up posting (and reading/ interacting) with 13 different FaceBook groups each day.

My most lucrative month yet

Yes, it works. I made 23$ in June, that's 460% more than in May, my no-promotion month. And I beat my current Medium record of 18 $ with 5 $.

Was it worth it?

To answer this I have to look at the Return Of Investment (ROI). I used no money to promote, so the only thing I invested was my time. A huge chunk of it.

As you can see from the graph below I had a huge spike on June 11, but I have not included this in the number crunching. It had 357 views, 336 reads, and made me the net sum of 28 cents. Something strange happened that day. I will assume the real numbers are the median of the day before and after.
